Results of 2010: decrease in volumes of manufacture of confectionery products

According to the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine last year, enterprises that produce sugar confectionery products, including white chocolate, produced almost 5.5% less than in the 12 months of 2009. In total for last year almost 250 thousand tons of sweets have been let out.

The volume of production of chocolate and products, which include cocoa, on the contrary, increased. In 2010, the confectionery companies of Ukraine produced almost 350 thousand tons of such products, which is 6% more than in 2009. At the same time, as the “Economic News” writes, only in the first half of 2010 the supply of chocolate from abroad increased by 40%.

Large Ukrainian confectionery manufacturers in the New Year holidays significantly increased not only the volumes, but also the range of products. Only chocolate in December 2010 was released by 8% more than in the last month of 2009.
